Real estate marketing without social media in 2025
Whether you’re burnt out from all of the social media marketing tips for real estate agents, tired of changes in the algorithms, or just want to build out a marketing strategy using long-from content, this blog post is for you. I’m going to outline real estate marketing without social media for Realtors® so that you can take a break from Instagram, or just take the pressure off.
You can review these marketing and lead generation strategies and decide which methods are going to be the best fit for you and your real estate business!
paid ads
As a real estate agent, you can market your real estate business by using paid ads. This is a great real estate marketing strategy to use to get your real estate brand in front of an audience that does not currently know you.
If you have the budget, paid ads can be a great way to continue to grow your database. But, you must know what kind of leads to expect.
Most often, paying for leads is NOT actually paying for someone to answer the phone saying “I’m pre-approved and ready for a showing” or a “Come list me!” call. Most often, paid ads are going to bring in leads that are slightly warm or cold. This because they’re not familiar with you yet.
Be prepared to follow-up with these leads through phone calls, email marketing, and content.
real estate marketing with seo
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is the practice of creating content that your ideal clients are searching for online, in the YouTube search bar, and even on Pinterest (yes Pinterest marketing for real estate is a thing!).
Real estate agents can also utilize SEO strategies with a Google Business Profile. Because real estate is a hyper-local service, this is a great way to get in front of leads and clients that are specifically using search to find real estate information and services.
Too many real estate agents overlook the power of SEO strategies through blogging, YouTube, and Pinterest marketing. And some agents think it’s too late for them to start. Read about my thoughts on getting started with video and YouTube marketing here.
Be prepared to invest time and energy to the content up-front as SEO does take time to compound. But, with the strategic use of keyword research for real estate content, you can also repurpose this content for lead follow-up and conversion!
Email Marketing
Email marketing for real estate is essential in 2025. Your email list (and database) is the ONLY contact list that you own, and where you have direct access for communication to leads and clients. Going into 2025 and beyond, email marketing should be a focus for both real estate lead generation and conversion.
If you’re wondering how to generate leads with email marketing, then you need to create a lead magnet. A lead magnet is some item of value that you offer in exchange for someone’s email address and other contact info. You can promote your lead magnet through paid ads, linked inside your real estate blog, in the description of your YouTube video, and using Pinterest!
Once you have the email address, you can send emails and create email campaigns to follow-up with your list and convert them into clients and closings!

Postcard marketing & direct mail
Direct mail marketing is not dead! This is another form of marketing where you are communicating directly to the consumer.
Again, this is a paid marketing strategy, but with consistency and creativity, it works! If you’re looking to learn more about real estate farming strategy with postcards, listen to this episode of my podcast.
In-person networking
Networking can be a really powerful way to meet people and build relationships that can become leads, clients, or referral partners. You can join networking groups, attend networking events, or reach out to people directly to meet for a networking coffee/lunch.
Some networking events that you can start or attend include:
- BNI
- Chamber of Commerce
- Young Professionals
- Women in Business
- Small Business Owners
create a referral network
In addition to in-person networking, creating a referral network can be a great way to generate real estate leads and clients. There are two different referral networks that are valuable as a real estate agent.
- Agent Referral Network: Earn agent-to-agent referrals by building relationships strategically with agents outside of your area. These are mutually beneficial relationships because one agent is earning a referral fee, while the other agent is earning a lead/client.
- Local Vendor Referral Network: There are many different types of local businesses that real estate agents can exchange referrals and leads with. Think about businesses and services that your clients may need such as attorneys, financial planners, painters, handymen, plumbers, etc. Bring together these businesses owners, and work together to help each other by utilizing this strategic referral network.
My hope for you is that you are seeing the opportunities for real estate marketing without social media in 2025. These are just a few of the ways that you can generate leads and market your business that don’t require posting on Instagram 3-5 times a day. Consider the long-term and short-term options so that you have a well rounded marketing plan that creates conversations and leads both now and in the future.
